Contactless e-Channel Mobile Application facilitates eligible residents of Hong Kong to enroll in the Contactless e-Channel Service. After successful enrollment, users can utilize an encrypted e-Channel QR code created on their personal mobile devices to access the contactless e-Channels. Within these channels, individuals can undergo facial verification by simply positioning themselves at the designated spot in front of the camera. The immigration clearance process ensues without the necessity of touching shared equipment such as the fingerprint scanner.

The implementation of Contactless e-Channels offers the public a means to minimize contact with communal equipment while engaging in self-service immigration procedures, consequently delivering a prompt, user-friendly, and sanitary immigration clearance experience.

Enrolling in the Contactless e-Channel Service via the Contactless e-Channel Mobile Application involves several steps:

• Use a mobile device with biometric authentication capabilities enabled to download and install the contactless e-Channel mobile application and the "智方便 iAM Smart" app.
• Register and activate "iAM Smart."
• Launch the contactless e-Channel mobile application and opt for enrollment.
• Undergo identity verification through "iAM Smart" following submission of the application and reading the statement.
• Complete the enrollment by utilizing the biometric authentication feature on your mobile device upon successful identity verification.
• Subsequently, generate an e-Channel QR code for immigration clearance through the contactless e-Channels once all preceding steps are finalized.

Notes:

• If aged between 11 and 17, consent from a parent or guardian is mandatory.
• Transmitting data through mobile devices via the Immigration Department Mobile Application may incur data transmission charges; thus, it is advisable to monitor data usage periodically.
